Why I Love Reading and How Books Taught Me to Live, Love and Dream
A heartfelt letter about my love for reading and how books have taught me to live, love, and see the world differently.
LIFE UPDATESMAMTAS MUSINGS

Books have been with me through every season of life — teaching, healing, comforting, and inspiring me in ways I never expected. Here’s why reading will always have my heart.
A Little Confession from One Book Lover to Another
You know how some people say novels are overrated — that they make our standards too high or fill our heads with impossible expectations? Honestly, I couldn’t disagree more.
Books have been my greatest teachers, my closest friends, and the coziest companions through every phase of my life. I don’t just like reading — I need it. It’s my escape, my comfort, and my quiet reminder that words have the power to change the way we see the world.
What Reading Has Taught Me
Reading has taught me how to live life, not just move through it. It’s shown me how to love deeply, forgive easily, and stay humble even when things get messy. Somewhere between all those pages, I’ve learned to be kind — to reach out to the quiet, awkward souls who often just need a little warmth and understanding.
Books have also made me wise in ways I can’t quite explain. They’ve shown me eras I’ve never lived, introduced me to cultures and traditions I might never experience, and allowed me to visit places that don’t even exist — yet somehow feel like home.
The Magic of Words
Words are powerful things. They can make us fall in love, shatter our hearts, spark revolutions, or simply remind us that we’re not alone.
Every time I read a line that hits just right, I feel a tiny bit of awe. The way stories can pull you in, make you feel something real, and stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page — it’s pure magic.
A Love Letter to Writers Everywhere
So here’s to all the writers out there — whether you’ve written a single poem, a novel, or a blog post that came straight from your heart — thank you.
Thank you for crafting worlds where readers like me can lose (and find) ourselves. For giving us words that comfort, inspire, and heal. I’ll always be grateful for every page, every story, every emotion you’ve shared.
Because really, books don’t just tell stories — they build worlds. And somehow, they build us too.
If you’ve ever found a story that felt like home, I hope this letter reminded you why we read in the first place — not just to escape, but to feel, to learn, and to live a little more deeply.
